Laboratory Safety Seminar May 20 at USM

MSTA and the Southern Maine Partnership are co-sponsoring a Laboratory Safety Seminar at the University of Southern Maine on Tuesday, May 20. The workshop will feature Representatives from the Maine Department of Education, Department of Labor and Department of Environmental Protection. This is a great chance to get the most informed views possible about this important topic.

Laboratory safety is a school leadership responsibility. Attend this day long seminar to learn about:

  • Department of Labor, Department of Environmental Protection, and Department of Education regulatory requirements for ALL schools
  • The best practice recommendations from the National Science Teachers Association
  • Suggestions for maintaining safety compliance
  • The role of a Chemical Hygiene Officer
