Hello!
I work with the Adobe Education Exchange, an online community for
educators, and we are currently hosting a contest where members who
submit lesson plans are eligible to win free Adobe CS5 products. The
contest ends TODAY but we are actively seeking contributions. The
community is a great resource for teachers and this is an excellent
opportunity to win Adobe software such as Photoshop. So, if you have a
great science resource or lesson plan you want to enter then head
over the site a...

Vega science has many part one of it is the space. Radioastronomical observations of our galaxy have revealed hordes of molecules in the interstellar medium. Extremely fast reactions result in the high abundance of complex organic compounds in the space between the stars.

That is a very nice novel. Many can relate to the jobs of our nurses and doctor's. They are important to us, they are the one helping us in times of accidents and health tragedy.

It is important for the student to learn. And prefixes and suffixes are the first thing that the teacher would teach them. And science is also a good subject to learn they will know many things through this subject. About matter, mass, galaxy and many else.

Hi! I graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor's in Microbiology and I've been working in hospitals and laboratories but I'm planning to move to the Turner, Maine area and there are few opportunities for employment. I've also heard that there is a general shortage of science teachers. I think that I can use my experiece and education in a classroom setting and I was wondering if there are any people out there who might be able to guide me in either gaining certification or employment in my area or both....

Hi Robin and Other Tess Fans!

I would not recommend using this book with students. While it's a great book and one that has won numerous awards, I believe that it is meant for adults. I read Tess's books this summer for pure literary enjoyment. I never intended to use any of them in the science classroom.

If I was to use one of Tess's books in the science classroom it would hands down be, The Bone Garden . With Swine Flu concerns in the headlines, this book would be timely. Its historical context co...

I am only a few chapters in and I am usually not into violence but Tess has away of writing that's brings you close but not over the top. I'm not sure how to relate this one to science teaching but it's a good read. Anyone with some good ideas?

If you have enjoyed the first two Tess Gerritsen novels then you are like me and excited about starting her next novel Surgeon.

In her most masterful novel of medical suspense, New York Times bestselling author Tess Gerritsen creates a villain of unforgettable evil-and the one woman who can catch him before he kills again.

Today they will find her body.

I know how it will happen. I can picture, quite vividly, the sequence of events that will lead to the discovery. By nine o'clock, those snooty la...

As we end the month of August we also end our discussion about The Bone Garden. How did you enjoy The Bone Garden? Did it progress and end how you had thought it would? Is it a book you will recommend to others?

Thanks! Mary...

Acorn Street - Beacon Hill - Boston, MA

I went to Boston and walked around The Common and Beacon Hill (great pizza at the Upper Crust on Charles St) looking for Acorn Street. It took some doing to find Acorn St. but I finally did. Attached is a document with some photos of Acorn Street. Maybe you'll enjoy the visuals. I really enjoyed walking down Acorn Street which is really like a tiny and very pretty ally way. Not sure if it was pretty 150 years ago. It was fun imagining what it was like when horses a...
